Camouflaged Cicada

The woodland area of our garden plays host to a lot of these Cicadas. They are masters in the art of camouflage and alight on lichen covered patches on tree trunks making it very hard to detect them. Up close, the phantom like apparition on the back of its head and back would frighten away any bird wanting to make a meal of it.
