Disporum cantoniense A rhizomatic plant with a stiff, much branched stem, growing up to 4 ft. tall. Flowers in summer on short peduncles. The inflorescence is produced below the leaf canopy well screened by the leaves. Flowers variable in colour and we have the deep purple/violet variety. Grows well in rich humus based compost. Habitat: Eastern Himalayas. Found growing in permanently moist places among shrubs and grasses. Ethnobotany: Not known | ||
