Begonia masoniana Known the world over as IRON CROSS BEGONIA Rhizomatic evergreen Begonia with striking decorative leaves. The popular name is derived from the dark almost black pattern on the leaf surface resembling the Iron Cross insignia of the German decorative medallion. Flowers in summer on a tall scape held well above the leaves with many cream colour flowers. This is an excellent house plant when grown in humus rich compost.
