Anthurium scherzeriannum
Excellent pot plant, with dark green leaves. Can be grown in a bright living room or patio. Growth is compact. Flowers in spring and summer. The most striking part of the flower is the spathe which is, in most cultivars, a brilliant red. There are varieties which have flowers in colours in shades of pink and orange and even some that are cream/white coloured with red spots. The spadix is curved.
Anthurium scherzeriannum is from the rain forests of South America and is widely cultivated throughout the world as a pot plant.
